This is a debit card upon which you can make deposits via cheques, bank transfer, or direct employment deposit. You can then use this card just like a credit card, without having to concern yourself with the traditional fees that are typically associated with credit.
This does not mean, however, that this card is completely absent of fees. You have to options in terms of payment. You can either pay £4.95 a month for unlimited access or you can opt to Pay As You Go. If you elect the latter option, then you will be charged a small fee for every purchase and cash advance. These are slight, but might make a difference to you depending on your card activity.
